    The food was very good. It was slightly different from other Mexican restaurants, giving it a unique flavor and texture, but familiar enough that I knew what I was ordering. The waitress was very polite and kept a good watch on our drinks. And I liked the quiet atmosphere; great place to relax and chat while eating. It did take a while to get our food (about 25 mins) so I wouldn't recommend it for lunch breaks or other time constraints. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in town.

    I had the carnitas. They had a good flavor but were dry. I used guacamole to add a little moisture. The service was good.

    I had the Mexican Grilled Chicken and it was fabulous! The owner's son works the room, refilling tea and water, it's so cute! We were all super happy with our lunch

    Had the #8 lunch special. Was delicious but could have had a little more bean in the burrito. Service was very good and food was out in a timely manner.

    Had a hankering for some Mexican food on the way home from PCB...El Rio was great. Good food and family oriented atmosphere.
